Arin - Custom
I met Arin while working in a kiosk at the mall, during the holiday of 2009. She was with a group of friends shopping and I pointed out that I liked her scarf. We would see each other in passing and then in 2010 when I was offered a management position in one of the mall stores, Arin was one of the sales associates. We hit it off immediately. Arin is kind, generous and honest. She always had a smile on her face even when customers could be a little testy. I admired her work ethic and didn't feel like I was working when she was on the clock with me.
Fast forward to present day, we stayed connected through Facebook of course. I was thrilled when I found out Arin was engaged and I approached her about making a dress for her. At first she wanted to keep it low key and kind of fell in love with another dress. I left it at that until I started to work on the S/S 2018 collection and was extremely inspired by a dress I was working on. The dress seriously reminded me of Arin. I immediately messaged her with a screen shot of the dress and told her that I wanted to name it after her. Arin thought I was kidding and she loved it. Together we decided that she would wear it for her special day!
Arin and I created this dress that actually changed at every fitting! Both of us are creative, and we really did work well together. It was pretty cool to see it's evolution. We ended up with an eclectic gown of 2 different prints and a lace trim. The sweetheart bodice is ivory with a ballet pink skirt. At the last fitting, we decided to add some more texture to the waistline. I built up the midsection with 3 layers of beaded trim. I just love how this turned out. It really is the Arin Dress.
We topped off the look with a handmade Designs by Nature crown by Erica Klinger.
I am really excited for this gown to be in the upcoming collection so that other brides may have a similar look as Arin. Arin is such a wonderful bright light and I am so happy to have her in my life. I'm thrills to announce that Arin joined my team of Stylists. She is the perfect fit for the SHEILA FRANK brand. I cant wait to work with her again!
