The designer behind her namesake, Sheila Frank graduated in 2007 with a BFA from Moore College of Art & Design.
Sheila began her career with an internship at Charlotte Ronson (NYC). Upon graduating She launched swimwear and ready-to-wear collections which received recognition from publications such as VOGUE (IT), Harper’s Bazaar (VT), Forbes.com, Oyster Mag (AU), Philadelphia Magazine and Daily Candy. Sheila has designed for multiple categories from swimwear and ready-to-wear (2008 - 2013), eveningwear and bridal (2014 - present and costume design (2017 - present). Her Bridal collections received recognition from BRIDES, VOGUE, WWD, Fashionista.com and more.
While patternmaking and designing for Curtain Call Dance Costumes, Sheila built a business for a private clientele which blossomed into SHEILA FRANK Bridal. The bridal brand launched on the CFDA x Runway360 platform in April 2021.
With a fine arts background and love of costume, Sheila is inspired by historical references and handmade details.
Sheila enjoys collaborations and in 2021 had the opportunity to design costumes for the Pennsylvania Ballet Academy's summer performance of Peter & the Wolf. Sheila began working with celebrity stylists in 2022 to design and make gowns for performers and red carpet events. Below are some of the top favorites:
